Babi Yar Symphony at CSO

Riccardo Muti and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra perform Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 13 (Babi Yar), the composer’s powerful setting of Yevgeny Yevtushenko’s poetry condemning anti-Semitism and the 1941 massacre of Jews near Kiev in 1941.  Performances are September 21, 22, and 25 at Symphony Center.
