The High Holidays seem to sneak up on us each year. The time that should be spent emotionally preparing for and doing the real spiritual work for the New Year can often fade, only to get swallowed up by our busy lives. We are then left, as Rabbi Alan Lew wrote, "completely unprepared." But not this year!
