Dr. Meir Elran will speak at the kiddush lunch on the topic, "Resilience, Israel style."
Retired from Ben Gurion University, Dr. Elran serves as a senior researcher at the Israeli Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) of the Tel Aviv University. He is also the founder and head of the MA program on National Security at the Sapir Academic College at Sderot. Formerly a career officer with the IDF, mostly with the Intelligence Directorate, Meir participated actively with the peace talks with Egypt and Jordan. Meir's particular academic interest is Societal Resilience in face of protracted terrorism. He is presently teaching at the University of Chicago with the Committee on International Relations (CIR).
