Members of Rodfei Zedek annually help in the delivery of Ma'ot Chitim (food packages) for the High Holidays and Passover. Ma'ot Chitim of Greater Chicago provides food to enable thousands of needy Jewish people to experience the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Passover in a traditional and dignified manner. The organization is getting ready for Rosh Hashanah, providing food to feed over 15,000 people this year.
Cars, drivers, and families are needed to participate in this Mitzvah–especially large cars and vans to take multiple boxes for delivery. Empty your trunk to leave plenty of room in your vehicle for the boxes!
Participants must wear closed shoes, and no one under the age of 12 is permitted in the warehouse. To volunteer to deliver on March 25, phone 847.674.3224 or [email protected]
