Organized by CRZ's Youth Education Committee, we will be volunteering at The Ark, an agency dedicated to helping Chicago Jews living in poverty, at their location in Rogers Park. Please click here to sign up and to participate in the carpooling from Hyde Park. Space is limited and registration is first-come, first-served.
The program will include an experiential education component focusing on the many faces of Jewish poverty in Chicago and why The Ark does what it does to help. That is followed by about 40 minutes of hands-on work helping stock the food pantry. The event concludes with a brief tour of The Ark and a short wrap up. The education program is geared to be age- or multi‑age-appropriate, enjoyable, and stimulating. Kids of all ages, including toddlers, are welcome.
