Join us in a Community Tikkun Olam Project!
We will meet in the Rodfei Zedek Sukkah on the playground at Akiba Schechter Jewish Day School. (In case of rain, we will meet at Rodfei Zedek, across the parking lot). There will be a story for the children about helping the homeless and a brief discussion of the imperative of Tikkun Olam.
We will then work together to assemble “Mitzvah Kits” containing items donated by the community in advance, such as non-perishable food, travel-sized toiletries, and other small comforts. Each family will leave the event with a small number of kits to distribute on their own, along with some guidance about safe and respectful ways to do this.
Open to the entire community - bring a friend, a neighbor, or a grandparent! Open to community members of all ages.
Please register in advance to let us know what items you will contribute for inclusion in the Mitzvah Kits by signing up at this link: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0948ADAC23A7F85-mitzvah.
