Returning to Your Best Self in the New Year
During the month of Elul, the shofar is sounded each weekday morning, awakening us to the period of reflection on the past year and helping us to begin the proess of teshuvah (returning) as the New Year approaches. The Selichot service on Saturday night introduces many of the themes of the High Holidays as it encourages us to make a commitment to change for the better in the New Year.
- 8:00 p.m. – Join us for a unique and engaging evening as we prepare for the High Hoidays. After Havdalah, members of the community will share their insights and expertise, providing opportunity for learning and reflection to help us realize our best selves in the New Year. Live music with special guest, Shakshuka, will connect to the themes of the season.
- 10:00 p.m. – Selichot service led by Rabbi David Minkus and Cantor Rachel Rosenberg
