In 2019 KAM-Isaiah Israel will host Tikkum Leyl Shavuot on Saturday, June 8.  Morning services will be held at CRZ on Sunday and Monday, June 9 and 10.  Our 2018 observance appears below for your information.

On Saturday evening, May 19, 2018 (last year), Tikkun Leyl Shavuot Rodfei Zedek and KAM-Isaiah Israel.

  • 7:45 p.m. — Seudah Shlisheet – light dinner
  • 8:45 p.m. — Maariv - Festival evening service
  • 9:15 p.m. — Shavuot speaker:  David Gottlieb will explore the Musar movement with us, through the topic, "Eyes Downward, Heart Heavenward:  The Ramban's Letter to His Son and the Jewish Ethical Tradition."

David Gottlieb, a Hyde Park native, will receive his Ph.D. in the History of Judaism from the University of Chicago Divinity School next month.  He teaches and writes on the influence of rabbinic midrash on Jewish cultural memory.  He is also a student and teacher of Jewish ethical and contemplative traditions.  David is a co‑founder of Full Circle Communities, Inc., a nonprofit affordable housing development company, for which he served as executive director from 2003 to 2017.

11:00 a.m. – Yizkor Memorial Service

There will be a light cheesecake and fruit kiddush after services on both days.
