- The Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago
- The JUF is the tzedakah arm of Chicago Jews and the parent organization of the Hyde Park JCC, which shares our building. Each year a JUF representative joins us to review JUF's work in feeding, counseling, and caring for those in need in the Jewish community and the larger Chicago community. All Rodfei Zedek and community members are invited to join us for this program and to contribute generously. The 5769 JUF program was a brunch and family mitzvah project held on Sunday, February 8. - The Jewish Theological Seminary
- JTS is the academic center of the Conservative Movement. The Seminary trains rabbis, cantors, and educators, and provides academically accredited programs for college and graduate studies, Jewish social work, etc. Founded in 1886, it has been the home of leading scholars in Judaic studies and of the world's most varied and substantial collection of Jewish books. Each year we are privileged to hear a faculty member or outstanding alumnus of the Seminary who has done pathfinding work in a particular field.
- Maot Chitim
- Rodfei Zedek annually helps in the delivery of Maot Chitim (food packages) for the High Holidays and Passover. The recipients are very grateful, the Maot Chitim of Greater Chicago organizers are very grateful for our participation, and it's a mitzvah! If you're in good shape and are looking around for a new mitzvah to take on, consider joining us. Delivery date will be announced.
